Proti (Greek: ) is village, population 1855, part of the synonymous municipality of the Serres Prefecture, Greece with a population 2999 (2001).

Proti is in the SE part of Serres near the border with the prefecture of Kavala and close to the Pangaion mountain.

Proti was known known in the past as Kioupkioi until 1927 when it was renamed to Proti, (a Greek word which means first, although why is not exactly known). In antiquity near it was Kiasa or Kiesa from which it may have evolved. Other older known names are Evdomista, Doviros or Pythia.
