Kamena Vourla

Kamena Vourla (Greek: ) is a small sea-side town part of the synonymous municipality in Phthiotis, Greece. Population of the town 2742 (2001).

Kamena Vourla is 38 km SE of Lamia. It is at the base of the mountain Knimis (or Knimides) (938 m).

In the region is the monastery Metamorfosis tou Sotira from the 16th century with wall painting from the 18th century.

In Kamena Vourla there is a numismatic museum of the Karanassos collection.

Outside and not far from Kamena Vourla is the place of the historic bridge of Gorgopotamos destroyed by resistance groups in 1942, Thermopyles known from the Battle and today with the monument of the Spartan king Leonidas.

Kamena Vourla is also known from the baths used for medical treatments.
