Opountia (Greek: ) is a municipality in Phthiotis, Greece. Population 4514 (2001).The seat and capital of the municipality is Martino (pop. 3,005 in 2001). Martino's economy is based on corn and cotton. In 2007, its football team, AS Opountios Martinou, won promotion into the Greek National Conference League D Division. Opountia also includes the factory village of Larymna (pop. 1087 in 2001).

Larymna

Larymna is a village 103 km SE of Lamia. In the Laryma bay there is the church Agios Nikolaos from 1493 on a small island.

Near Larymna there are chrom-nickel mines exploited by the metallurcigal-mining company LARCO.
