Mygdonia

Mygdonia (Greek: ) is a municipality in the Thessaloniki Prefecture, Greece. Population 7239 (2001). The seat of the municipality is in Liti.(ΛΗΤΗ)

The municipality is named after the ancient territory of Mygdonia.

Drymos

Drymos is a village known since 1314 as Drymigklava (Δρυμίγκλαβα). It was renamed in Drymos like other places with a non-Greek name. It was a community since 1918 and after the Kapodistrian law part of the municpality of Mygdonia..The name Drymos is derived from the forrest in the region.

Liti

Liti is named after the ancient city Liti (Lete) In its necropolis in a site called Derveni among other objectts the Derveni papyrus was found. The papyrus is kept in the Thessaloniki Archaeological Museum.

Melissochori

Melissochori (old Form Melisoochorion) in the past known as Baltza (Μπάλτζα). The village was an operational center of the Greek army in the Balkan war (Battle of Kilkis- Lahanas)
