Chortiatis

Memorial for the massacre of Chortiatis, Thessaloniki prefecture, Region of Central Macedonia, Greece. The massacre was committed on September 2nd, 1944 by German occupation troops and Greek collaborating forces and caused 149 people of the village Chortiatis to succumb. Picture was taken one day after memorial service with lying wreaths beside memorial, including one of the German General Consul in Thessaloniki.
