Kapandriti (Greek, Modern: Καπανδρίτι, Ancient/Katharevousa: -on), older form: Kapandrition is a town near Marathon in the north of Attica in Greece. Kapandriti is linked with the road linking Nea Makri and Kapandriti as well as with the service road and Afidnes, Kapandriti also serves a road north to Kalamos. The area around Varnava are surrounded by olive trees, pasture farmlands, grasslands and are hilly, pine trees dominates southward in the mountains north of the Marathon Dam, farmlands are in valley areas and the mountains also cover the northern part. The South Euboic Gulf covers the northeast and features Varnavas' nearest beach. Kapandriti is located about NE of Athens, E of GR-1/E75 (Athens - Lamia - Thessaloniki) and north of Rafina. Businesses are the most popular industry in Kapandriti, agriculture dominates the outskirts and Mikrochori Kapandritis. Housing developments came in the 1990s but slowly boomed. The settlements around Kapandriti includes Mikrochori Kapandritis. Two monasteries lies north of Kapandriti.
