Neo Psychiko or Neo Psyhiko or Neo Psihiko (Greek, Modern: , Ancient/Katharevousa: -on), older forms Neo Psychikon, Neo Psyhikon, Neo Psykhikon, Neo Psihikon, Neo Psikhikon is a suburb in the northeastern part of Athens, Greece. "Psych-" comes from Psyche meaning soul. It is located S of Attiki Odos (number 6) which opened in 2001 and wasn't fully connected until February 2004, the Olympic stadium, W of Kifissias Avenue, W of Marathonos Avenue, N of Alexandras Avenue and NE of Athens. The main streets are Kifissias Avenue which now have an interchange which began construction in 2002 and completed in 2004 and Mesogeios Avenue to the east. The area was made up of farmlands and some forests dominated the area. The forests are in the squares today. Urban development replaced much of the farmlands in the early to mid-20th century. Today, much of the municipality are urbanized while the businesses are within its main roads. Much of the trees are aligned with the streets and in squares. A few tracts of hilly grasslands lie to the northwest or to the north. Neo Psychiko has schools, lyceums, gymnasia, banks, a post office and squares (plateies).
